  Was baptized on 3 October 1920 by Rev. N.H. McGillivray in Orillia St Andrew's Presbyterian Church. His father was listed as a mechanic living at 54 Dundin Street. (Orillia Library microfilm 539). Lived in Orillia, Ontario, Canada. Was Head of the Machine Shop at E.R. Long's in Orillia. Buried in Section Q (R33-40) in Orillia. The Orillia Packet & Times, Sunday, 24 January 1993, page B11 ROSS, George Marr Sr. Peacefully, after a lengthy illness at Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital, on Saturday, January 23, 1993, in his 78th year. Marr Ross Sr. of Orillia, beloved husband of Norma (Chum) Cooke. Loving father of Marr Jr. and wife Janice of Barrie, Elaine and husband Hugh Thompson of Orillia. Dear grandfather of Bradley, Jennifer and Tyler Ross, Lisa Obee, Ross, Erin, and Meredith Thompson. Great grandfather of Taylor Obee. Brother of Joan Cobbold of Paris, Ontario, David Ross and wife Margaret, Grant and wife Terri all of Orillia. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. The late Mr. Marr Ross Sr. will rest at the Mundell Funeral Home, 79 West St. N. , Orillia from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. Sunday. Funeral service will be held in the chapel Monday morning January 25th at 11 o'clock. Spring interment St Andrew's - St James Cemetery. Orillia Members of Equity Masonic Lodge A.F. & A.M., G.R.C. No. 659 are asked to gather in the chapel for service Sunday evening at 7:15. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to Parkinsons Foundation of Canada or Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be sincerely appreciated.
