- He was born Aug. 26, 1915 in Monte Vista, Colo. to William Earl and Zella Jennings. He graduated from high school and attended two years of college. He married his wife, Lois Jennings, on June 5, 1976 in Los Angeles. He was a retired author. He was Grass Valley Masonic Lodge, Sierra Presbyterian Church, Gold Country Horseless Carriage Club, Model T. Club of Southern California, and was co-founder of the Federation of Neighborhoods. He enjoyed antique cars, horses, collecting antique memorabilia and writing about antique autos and trips.He is survived by his wife, Lois, of Grass Valley; son, Bill Jennings of Grass Valley; daughter, Donna Watkins of Fullerton; daughter, Aletha Swanson of Rocklin; daughter, Sandra Lauer of Lake Havasu City, Ariz.; grandchildren, Christina Jobe and Laurie Bynum of Seattle, Wash., Karen Korcha of Joshua Tree, David Watkins of Hollywood, and Shannon and Stephen Jennings of Grass Valley; and four great-grandchildren.He was predeceased by his father, William Earl, in 1930; his mother, Zella Landis, in 1991; and his first wife, Theresa Jennings, in 1975.
