- Twin sister of David. In the Anglican Church Archives, microfilm Reel 249, St James Anglican Church, Orillia, Ontario, Canada, Baptisms 1872-1948 recorded: Grace Jeanette Walker, born 27 October 1916, baptized 12 November 1916 in St James Church. Parents were George Daniel Walker, machinist and Margaret Walker of Orillia. Baptism by Rev. J.R.S. Boyd. Never married. Graduated nurse from Toronto General Hospital, Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Was living in Toronto in 1942 when her father died. Was N.S. Grace Walker, R.C.N., Halifax, Nova Scotia in 1943 when her brother Johnstone died. Was living in Toronto in 1968 when her mother died. Retired as a Lt. Cdr. of the Royal Canadian Navy. Was Matron of Naval Hospital, Halifax, Nova Scotia. Buried with her parents.

WALKER, Grace Jeannette Lt. Cdr., R.C.N. (Retired) - Member of the Royal Canadian Benevolent Fund and Past President of the Toronto Unit Nursing Sisters Association of Canada. Peacefully at the Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital on Monday, April 23rd, 1990. Grace Walker, formerly of Toronto, beloved daughter of the late George and Margaret Walker of Orillia. Loving sister of: Mae of Orillia, Don of Peterborough and Mrs. Eunice Phillips of Horseshoe Valley Road, and predeceased by sister Wilma, brother Jack and twin brother Dave. Dear Sister-in-law of Mrs. Gloria Walker of Orillia. Will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. The late Miss Grace Walker will rest at the Mundell Funeral Home, 79 West Street North, Orillia from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. Wednesday. Funeral Service in St. Luke's Anglican Church, (Highway 12 West at Prices Corner) on Thursday morning, April 26th at 11:30. Cremation to follow. Friends will be received by the family in the Church on Thursday morning from 11 o'clock until time of service. Members of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #34, Orillia are asked to gather at the Chapel for service Wednesday evening at 7 o'clock. If desired, Memorial Donations to the Col. Agnes C. Neill Scholarship Fund would be gratefully appreciated.
