Was born in Maple Lane, Forest Home area of Orillia, Simcoe County, Ontario, Canada (her grandparents home). Never married. The Orillia Packet & Times 30 July 1931 reported that Mae was leaving St. James Church, Orillia, for missionary work in Japan "to teach kindergarten methods in one of the Church Schools". Lived in Japan; Hamilton, Ontario, Canada; British Columbia, Canada and Orillia, Ontario. Was living in Vancouver, British Columbia in 1942 when her father died. Was living in Tashme, B.C. in 1943 when her brother Johnstone died. Was living in Hamilton, Ontario in 1968 when her mother died. Was living in Orillia in 1990 when her sister Grace Jeanette died. Was a missionary to the Japanese. She was an Anglican Missionary, a Deaconess. Was cremated. Her tombstone states "Friend of the Japanese". Buried with her parents.

WALKER, Marion Margaret (Mae) (Missionary with the Anglican Church of Canada in Japan, British Columbia and lastly in Hamilton with the Japanese Community). Peacefully at the Villa Nursing Home, Midland, Ontario on Monday, April 10th, 1995; in her 91st year. Beloved daughter of the late George and Margaret Walker. Loving sister of Mrs. Eunice Phillips of Orillia, James (Don), Johnston (Jack), Dave, Wilma (Mrs. Ken Johnston) and Grace all predeceased. Sister-in-law of Mrs. Gloria Walker of Orillia. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Following cremation a Memorial Funeral Service will be held at St. James' Anglican Church, Peter and Coldwater Sts,. Orillia on Saturday afternoon, April 22nd, at 1:30. Interment St. Andrew's - St. James' Cemetery, Orillia.
