      KILLED IN CAR CRASH
A Fort Garry man was killed instantly Tuesday when the station wagon he was driving hit a concrete abutment of the Perimeter Highway bridge crossing the Red River south of Winnipeg.
Albert George Bruce, 39, of 30 Laval Drive, was alone in the station wagon when the accident occurred at about 1.30 p.m. He is survived by a wife and seven children.
RCMP officials said the station wagon was travelling west on the Perimeter Highway and struck the northeast abutment of the bridge. They said the body of the dead man had to be pried from the car. Road conditions at the scene of the accident were good, but no skid marks were found.
RCMP are still investigating the cause of the accident.
