  In the British Columbia Directories, 1934 Robert A. (Marie) Bruce lived at 5512 East Georgia, Burnaby; 1935 and 1938 lived at 280 Howard, North Burnaby. Marie and Robert Bruce divorced in the early 1940s and Marie was left to raise the family. On June 1, 1945 she married Karl Elis Winquist. He was married before and had the following children; Mary, Ingrid, Adella, Earl, Roland and Karl. He was born about 1901 and died November 15, 1971. (Death registration 1971-09-015806 microfilm B13313 (GSU#2034264), Government of British Columbia Vital Statistics: Karl Elis Winquist died November 15, 1971 in Ganges, British Columbia at age 70.) Funeral services for Mrs. Winquist will be held on Friday, October 9, 1992 at 2:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses in Princeton. Cremation. Mrs. Winquist is survived by her son, Dwight Winquist of Princeton, her daughter, Joyce Robbins of Surrey, her step-children, Mary Hele of Kingman, Alta., Ingrid Johnson of Camrose, Alta., Adele McArthur of Enderly, B.C., Earl Winquist of Agassiz, B.C., Roland Winquist of Langley, B.C., and Carl Winquist of Chilliwack, B.C. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Winquist was predeceased by three daughters, Dianne Winquist, Roberta Klassen and Beverly Murphy and by three sons, Albert, Jack and Jerry Bruce. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to the Heart Fund, Box 597, Penticton, B.C. Funeral arrangements under the direction of the Penticton Funeral Chapel.
