  Robert was educated at Fundale School District #686. He was a bronc rider at picnics and stampedes. Robert, sister Iola and George Lee and sister Edna and Wes Blood and their son Eugene spent a holiday camping at Lac Pelletier in 1933. He is a step father to Camilla's children. Moved to Kyle, Saskatchewan in 1968 when their land was going to be flooded by the South Saskatchewan River Dam Project. Robert died at home. Obituary THOMSON - Robert Allen Thomson, farmer and rancher, age 63 of Kyle, Sask., passed away on July 1, 1971 at his Kyle residence after a short illness. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, July 6, 1971 at 2 p.m. from the Lacadena United Church, Lacadena, Sask., with Rev. Donald Campbell officiating, interment in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Swift Current, Sask., with Warren's Funeral Home of Kyle, Sask. in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers were Robert Speir, Alf Larson, Jimmy Carruthers, Bob Merrison, Gordon Davis and Ernest Mickelson. Honorary pallbearers were Bert Ingram, Peter Perrin, Ken Gray, Jim Carruthers, Jack Speir and Elmer Heierem. Flowerbearers were Jim Hartness and Grenville Moreside. Mr. Thomson is survived by his wife: Camilla Dorothy Thomson of Kyle, Sask.: three daughters: (Nancy) Mrs. Alvin Hughes of Kindersley, Sask., (Mildred) Mrs. Geo. Denning, Lacadena, Sask.; (Olive) Mrs. Bernard Monson of the city; three sons: Donald, Kenneth and Lloyd, all living in Edmonton, Alta., 17 grandchildren; three sisters: Mrs. Edna Blood, City, Mrs. Jessie Mulder, Kamloops, B.C., Mrs. Iola Lee, City. He was predeceased by his parents, mother Florence and father David. Mr. Thomson was born at Lundbreck, Alberta on August 25, 1907. He moved to Saskatchewan from his place of birth with his parents in 1910 to the homestead in the Fundale area. He was married in Medicine Hat, Alberta on Dec. 7, 1963. He moved to Kyle, Sask., from the Fundale district near Lacadena, Sask., in 1968. Mr. Thomson's chief interests were in Rodeos, participating in many riding contests throughout Western Canada.
