- Educated at Fundale School District #686 (near Lacadena, Saskatchewan, Canada). Jessie took her Normal School training in Regina, Saskatchewan. Taught school in Clythia School District #4848 1941-43 and was the last teacher at Fundale School District #686 in 1934-35, all in the Municipality of Lacadena, Saskatchewan. Moved to Calgary in 1943. Taught in a school at Millerville outside Calgary, Alberta. Took two years off when daughter Sharon was born. Moved to British Columbia in 1951. Taught at Kitkatla School January to June 1952. This was for Department of Indian Affairs and was an island off the coast from Prince Rupert. They lived with Winnie Johnson, another teacher. There were only four caucasians in the village. Taught at Bella Coola from September 1952 to 1955. This was an isolated village on the coast and accessible only by boat. Taught in rural schools around Prince George 1955 to 1961. Moved in 1961 and taught in Kamloops. In the Kamloops City Directories, Jessie was living at 1110 Pleasant Street in 1965 and 1975. In 1980 was living at 520 Strathcona Terrance. Retired from teaching in 1971. Death registration 1981-09-015747 Government of British Columbia Vital Statistics microfilm B13614.
