- aka Frank. Frances was the tenth of eleven children. She started school when she was eight. The family moved into Neepawa when she was eleven and she continued her education there. Attended Normal School in Brandon. She taught school in a one-room school house. Later she moved to California and lived with an older sister. She returned to Neepawa to nurse a terminally ill sister. After she married Harvey, she described the ten years they lived on the farm as the happiest years of her life. Frank belong to an Amateur Theatre group. In 1940, they sold the farm and moved into Neepawa and lived with her mother-in-law. After Harvey died, Frank sold the house and moved into an apartment. She went to work as a bookkeeper and worked until she was 70. In 1982 was living in Neepawa, Manitoba, Canada when her sister-in-law Mary Helen Thomson died. Frances is buried in Lot 14, Block 5, Range 11B, Riverview Cemetery, Neepawa.

Frances Sarah Thomson
The family of Frances Sarah Thomson sadly announce her peaceful death on October 9, 1995 at East View Lodge, Neepawa.
Frank lived her 93 years in Neepawa and district. Her husband Harvey predeceased her in 1960.
A grateful family says goodbye - daughters Betty and Gwen, sons-in-law Harvey Underhill and Keith Byram, eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She will be missed by her sister Elizabeth Ames of Brandon and special nephew Harold Thomson.
