      "Thomson - At Soldiers Memorial Hospital on Monday January 3, 1944, William Robert, eldest son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Thomson of Forest Home, in his 64th year. The funeral took place from Doolittle Brothers' Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 5. Interment Orillia." and on page 8 Forest Home news, "The community extend sincere sympathy to the Misses Jessie and Annie Thomson and Mrs. George Bell whose brother, Mr. W.R. Thomson, died on Monday in Soldiers Memorial Hospital."
