- Gwinivere or Guinivere? aka Gwen. Name on birth registration 042426 Archives of Ontario microfilm MS929 reel 175 is Genever May. Never married. Was living at home in Ardtrea with her parents in 1933 when her father died. In the Toronto City Directories, Guinivere lived at 58 St. Clair Avenue East with her mother 1944-1945, then at 17 Edgewood Crescent 1946-1950 with her mother. In 1951-1957 Guinivere and her sister Geraldine owner and lived at 17 Edgewood Crescent. Guinivere worked at Northrop & Lyman 1944-1948 as a drug filler, finisher, machine operator. From 1949-1957 she worked for J.F. Hartz Co. as a packer, clerk, lab assistant. She may have returned to Orillia about 1957. Was living in Orillia, Ontario, Canada in 1976 when her brother Francis Oliver died. Orillia St Andrew's Presbyterian Church Death Register recorded name as Guinivere, age 78, resident of Hillcrest Lodge, Rev. E.A. Beggs. (Orillia Library microfilm 539).

THOMSON, Guinivere May - At the Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, August 31, 1983. Gwen Thomson, beloved daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. David Thomson of Orillia; in her 79th year. Loving sister of Marjorie (Mrs. Jack Hunter) of Toronto, Murray of Bracebridge, James, Frank and Geraldine all predeceased. Dear aunt to James, David, Donald, Richard, Michael, Leon, Douglas and Barbara Thomson, Jane (Mrs. Paul Teskey) and Judith (Mrs. Barry Lutes). The late Miss Gwen Thomson is resting at the Mundell Funeral Home, 79 West Street North, Orillia after 2:00 o'clock Friday afternoon. Funeral service in the Chapel on Saturday afternoon, September 3, at 1:30. Interment St Andrew's Cemetery, Orillia. If desired donations to the Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital Building Fund or the Ontario Heart Foundation would be gratefully appreciated.
