- Was baptized on 2 March 1930 by Rev. J.A. MacInnis in Orillia St Andrew's Presbyterian Church. Her father was listed as a Miller and resident of 189 North Street. (Orillia Library microfilm 539). Worked as a hairdresser. Was cremated. Dorothy-Jane and Gordon's ashes were scattered in Lake Ontario at Kingston, Ontario.
WILLIAMSON, Dorothy Jane (Thomson)
Peacefully, at home, on Friday, December 8, 1995, in her 69th year. Dear wife of Dr. Gordon Williamson, loving mother of James of Burlington, Jon of Whistler, B.C. and Jenifer Crockett and husband Daniel of Kingston. Daughter of the late Robert and Beatrice Thomson of Streetsville. Will be sadly missed by sisters, Yvonne McGrath (Harvey), Elora, Ethel Dodds (Bill), Kamloops, B.C., Carol Marr (Ian), Toronto and brothers, Duncan Thomson (Kay), Dallas, Texas, Robert Thomson (Heather), White Rock, B.C., brother-in-law, Bruce Williamson (Lois), Mississauga, sister-in-law Norma Thomas (Orlan), Fresno, California and brother-in-law Earl McFaden, Elgin. Predeceased by sister-in-law Audrey Williamson McFaden. A Celebration of Dorothy Jane’s life will be held at St. Luke’s Anglican Church, 1370 Elgin Street, Burlington in the new year. Date of Service to be announced. The family wishes to express their thanks to dear friends and relatives whose support and kindness have been greatly appreciated.
