  Was her name Geib or Gieb? Obituaries have Gieb, grave marker has Geib. Violet's maiden name was Hanson. She had been married to Frank Geib, who died in 1948. They had two children, Velma and Derwood. Following courtesy of Lorne Wallace Glendinning from Agnes Helen Baird's scrapbook: Glendinning - Violet Anne of Strasbourg passed away March 8, 1996 at the age of 88 years. She leaves to mourn a daughter Velma (Bob) Gustavson of Strasbourg; a son Derwood (Regina) of Medicine Hat; a sister Hilda Richards of Calgary; two grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and many friends. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 12, 1996 at 2:00 p.m. from Strasbourg United Church. Carolyn Conarroe officiating. Hansen's Funeral Home, Strasbourg in care of arrangements.
