Passed away Wednesday morning. Age 84 years. He was born July 5, 1872,in Midland County . On Sept. 16, 1893, he married Laura Gilman
in Midland. She survives him. He had formerly worked as a lumberjack, railroad man, and painter. The deceased was a member of the
Free Methodist Church. Surviving, besides his wife, are four daughters
and oneson, Mrs. Ray L. Morden, Mrs. William Hazzard, Mrs. Hugh Becker, Mrs.Ralph Wenzel, and William Bacon, all of Saginaw; 16
grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren. Funeral service will take place at 2 p. m . Friday at the Free Methodist Church. Rev. L. A. Scofield will
officiate, with burial in Midland Cemetery. Friends may call at theCase Chapel from 7p.m. Wednesday until Friday noon, and at the church
from 1 p.m. Friday until time of service.

Death Registration 1936-09-503595 microfilm B13154, GSU#1953018, Government of British Columbia Vital Statistics. Died in Vancouver at age 19. Scott Cameron Johnston was originally buried in Ocean View Burial Park, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada on 29 July, 1935, in Section Maple Lot 255 Grave 2. He was moved to Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Vancouver, Crescent Section, Lot 228, Grave 4, beside his mother on 7 March 1939. His grave stone at Forest Lawn says died 1936.

CALVERLEY, Hugh W. - Following a lengthy illness at the Oshawa General Hospital, on Sunday, January 9, 1994; in his 74th year. Hugh will be greatly missed by wife Louise Calverley (nee Thomson) of Oshawa, and sons William and wife Susan, James and wife Paulette, David and wife Linda. Dear grandfather of Beverly, Amy, Andrew, Rebecca, Cassandra and Sabina. Survived by sister Mabel (Mrs. Bernard Hinds) and brother Robert Calverley. The late Mr. Hugh Calverley will rest at the Mundell Funeral Home, 79 West Street North from 2 o'clock Monday afternoon, January 10th until time of service in the Chapel at 3 o'clock. Spring interment, St Andrew's - St James' Cemetery, Orillia. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Princess Margaret Hospital, Toronto or the Oshawa General Hospital would be sincerely appreciated.

Fearing that his body might be "snatched" for a medical school, his mother had him buried in a corner of the family farm -- now the Sipprell Burying Ground, Silver Hill, Ontario.
